Children

I teach creative dance for children ages 2 1/2 – 8. My approach is based upon the following:

  • Brain Compatible Dance Education, as developed by Anne Green Gilbert
  • Bartenieff Fundamentals
  • Body Mind Centering
  • Laban Movement Analysis
  • Dance Movement Therapy

Creative dance is a playful and fun way for young boys and girls to develop their physical
movement skills, stimulate their imagination and creativity and strengthen their cognitive, social and emotional skills. We will explore the elements of dance using a wide variety of music, props, and rhythm instruments in a supportive, non-competitive environment.
