Marcia is a great presenter – very friendly and enthusiastic about her subject. I loved the content, it felt very interactive. I’m glad her style is collaborative. When we were moving, it woke us up and got us ready to learn. This is such an important subject, we really can’t hear it enough.

The Building Blocks of Body and Brain Development in Infant and Toddlers: Let’s Move Together!
The growing infant and toddler brain is intricately linked to neuro-motor developmental movement patterns. The progressive sequence of the development is critical in setting the foundation for healthy physical, social and cognitive growth throughout a child’s life. Early recognition, intervention and support from caregivers can be instrumental in proper brain wiring in young children. In this interactive and experiential seminar, participants will discover ways to interact and make meaningful connections with infant and toddlers through understanding of: • Healthy, independent movement patterns. • Underlying neurological, perceptual, and sensory-motor developmental systems.
Maximize Brain Growth: Somatic-Based Education for Pre-Schoolers
Development of young children occurs through the interrelatedness of motor development, perception, cognition and social-emotional domains. Research indicates that early body-mind based education secures motor development which is vital for healthy brain wiring. Using movement–based intervention can also assist in addressing disabilities or delays. In this interactive and experiential seminar, participants will discover ways to support brain growth in pre-schoolers through an understanding of: • Neuro-motor movement patterns and their connection to successful learning • Key developmental milestones for brain and body • Simple and fun ways to create a movement-based activities.
